Featured – New Opal Glass Copenhagen pendant

Designed in 2014 by Space Copenhagen the Copenhagen pendant has a striking design which creates a soft, cosy atmosphere. The Copenhagen pendant is one of &tradition’s most popular designs and this year they have released a new finish to the collection – opal glass.

The soft matt opal glass is combined with darkened brass enhancing the sculptural qualities of the shade and its beautiful poetic manner.  The semi-transparent shade gives out a soft ambient light which can suit any room in the home.

Pete Rbungaard Rützou, member of the Space Copenhagen design duo commented “We live in a part of the world where we have long periods with very little light, so it’s in our bones to seek, create and appreciate warm light that glows.”

The opal glass finish is available in both the small (SC6) and medium (SC7) versions. Whether placed alone or in a cluster with white, black or lacquered pastels of the Copenhagen collection the pendant creates a stunning modern statement.

Featured - &Tradition Flowerpot Collection

&Tradition

After the 1968 student revolts in Paris, Rome and the United States where stiff old values were overthrown came the Flower-Power generation of peace, love and harmony.

In the same year came the Flowerpot pendant a colourful and playful lamp which hung in restaurants, exhibitions and soon after in everybody’s home.

The Flowerpot has two semicircular spheres which face one another providing a lasting quality which is reflecting of the design times.

The Flowerpot collection has expanded over the years and now includes table versions, available in a range of colours of metallic finishes.

Stylish new Cirque by Louis Poulsen

12 May 2016 Permalink

Louis Poulsen Cirque

Highly anticipated and sought after Cirque suspensions by Louis Poulsen are available from May 15th. This new release by designer Clara von Zweigbergk is a playful interpretation of the Tivoli fair ground in Copenhagen. After Louis Poulsen gave Zweigbergk the brief of a fun and stylish lighting design, her visit to Tivoli gardens became her central inspiration.

Tivoli Gardens Copenhagen

The fair ground is a place full of colour, balloon rides, domes and unique shapes to inspire any visitor. The spinning movement of rides and attractions was very intriguing to Clara von Zweigbergk, the amalgamation of colours and playful movement became part of the Cirque’s design.

Cirque is skilfully made from one piece of metal, with precise, clean angles to create a seamless high quality finish. The shade is available in three sizes and three colour combinations, allowing complete creativity in their display. This light is stylish, affordable and enables people to have a piece of Poulsen in their home.
