The iconic Kartell Master chair

After many years of working with Kartell the iconic Master chair is still our best seller from their collection.

The Masters chair is a powerful tribute to three symbolic chairs, interpreted by the creative genius of Philippe Starck.

The unmistakable silhouettes of the "Series 7" by Arne Jacobsen, the "Tulip Armchair" by Eero Saarinen and the "Eiffel Chair" by Charles Eames are interwoven into a hybrid giving life to a fusion of original and engaging styles.

The Masters is light, practical and stackable and can be used outdoors.

The Masters chair was honoured with the prestigious "2010 Good Design Award" presented by the Chicago Athenaeum - Museum of Architecture and Design and the 2013 Red Dot Design Award.

Kartell Louis Ghost 10th Anniversary!

31 January 2014 Permalink

The Louis Ghost chair designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Starck took inspiration from the baroque lines of the Louis XV seats and redesigned them in plastic material creating an ultra-contemporary and original design. The Louis Ghost is a fascinating and surprising mingling of the antique and the new. So far over 1.5 million chairs have been sold making the Louis Ghost the most widely sold designer chair in the world. Philippe Starck commented that “The universal success of the Louis Ghost chair does not come from its design but from collective memory. The Louis Ghost chair was produced by our collective subconscious and it is only the natural result of our past, our present and our future.”
