1)

WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS OPERATIVE 

 

We are a thriving family business, based on West Street in Sheffield, which exports to countries around the world, supplies lighting for major commercial projects, and into the homes of people throughout the country.

 

 Now we need a person who’s looking for a career in Logistics to support the continuing growth of our business.

 

The successful candidate will be the go-to person between the office and the warehouse, ensuring delivery and dispatch operations run smoothly and the whole team are up to date on business activity.

 

Of course, as with any growing business, you’ll need to be willing and able to get stuck into all areas, but with the increasing demand for wider distribution of our products reaching a critical point, you could make a significant impact for our company in no time at all.

With over 35 years’ experience in the industry we source, stock and distribute contemporary designer lighting around the world.

We also have our own lighting Brands and a project design team that work on both high spec domestic and commercial interior projects.

What would you be doing?

 

Accuracy is the top quality you need to do well in this role. Typical activities might include:

 

  • ·         Streamlining processes and assessing and improving efficiency
  • ·         Managing the relationship between the office and the warehouse
  • ·         Managing supplier activity and deliveries
  • ·         Processing and allocating orders
  • ·         Packing items for dispatch
  • ·         Daily administration to keep the warehouse stock moving
  • ·         Liaising with the office around customer feedback

 

What type of person are we looking for?

 

The successful person role will:

  • ·         Have superb accuracy and attention to detail
  • ·         Have excellent communication skills, able to work with colleagues in all areas of the business
  • ·         Show emotional intelligence, and be able to fit in easily with a team

 Sales Office Assistant

 

Now we need a person who’s looking for a career in our Sales Office to support the continuing growth of our business.

The successful candidate will be taking on a whole range of responsibilities relating to our sales and customers ensuring delivery and dispatch operations run smoothly and the whole team are up to date on business activity. As part of a busy and close knit team you’ll have little time to be bored! 

 

Of course, as with any growing business, you’ll need to be willing and able to get stuck into all areas, but with the increasing demand for wider distribution of our products reaching a critical point, you could make a significant impact for our company in no time at all.

 


What would you be doing? 

Working as a key part of the team you will be responsible for a wide range of customer and sales activities. As a part of a small business, like everyone else, you will also be expected to roll your sleeves up and help with other work when there are peaks in the workload. This could include anything from answering phones, to the showroom or working in the warehouse. Whilst there is no set day, typical activities might include: 

 

  • Responding to customer enquiries on the phone, email or in the showroom 
  • Meeting and greeting customers 
  • Managing customer complaints or concerns on the phone, email or in the showroom 
  • Liaising between suppliers, customers and distributors to solve problems and ensure things run smoothly 
  • Drafting and providing customers with quotations
  • Placing orders, clarifying customer specifications and processing them with suppliers
  • Agree delivery schedules to meet customer needs and project timescales 
  • Sales administration, systems inputs and filing
  • Assisting the project design, finance, marketing, warehouse and distribution projects as required 
  • Identify ways to reduce sourcing/delivery costs and deliver savings
  • Managing projects, or project tasks to the required customer deadlines
  • Collating, analysing and reporting account management information on request from customers or colleagues 

 

What type of person are we looking for? 

 

We are looking for a bright and customer focused candidates who have excellent customer service skills. The successful person role will: 

 

  • Be a graduate from any degree discipline 
  • Have experience in a customer service role (including work in a retail outlet, bar or restaurant) 
  • Have excellent communication skills, in particular good written English and an excellent telephone manner 
  • Have good administration skills, attention to detail and accuracy in their work 
  • Have good planning, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Be bright and a quick learner 
  • Be able to work well with others from a range of different backgrounds, as part of an effective and close-knit team 
  • Be friendly, warm, confident and personable in nature
