Named after the parenthesis symbol, the Parentesi suspension light designed by the renowned Achille Castiglioni, is a stripped back ceiling to floor suspension light providing thoroughly adjustable light emission. Designed in 1971, this simple yet functional lamp provides direct and flexible light.

The Parentesi lamp body is mounted on coloured painted or nickel-plated steel tubes with a light source which moves vertically via sliding on a ceiling-to-floor steel cable (4m long). This construction allows the Parentesi’s light to be fixed at any point and directed as required - making it the perfect companion for tasking or highlighting architectural details.

Available in black, red, white or nickel, and a dimmable or non-dimmable option, two spotlights can be added to the Parentesi for precise light orientation. Please see the additional elements here.
