Moooi is a designer lighting manufacturer, founded in 2001 in the Netherlands by Dutch designers Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers. The duo's aim for Moooi was to create a legendary interior brand that added character to every space. The unique name is drawn from Mooi, which is the Danish word for beauty, and the extra o they added to Moooi represents the brand's extra magnificence and uniqueness. Their distinctive style is exclusive, daring, playful, and based on the belief that design is a question of love. Moooi is not afraid to push design boundaries, and their work combines the uniqueness and character of antiques with the freshness of modern times, producing timeless objects of beauty that make a statement in contemporary interiors.
