The Raimond II Collection was designed by former mathematician and machine designer Raimond Puts. Puts spent years experimenting with materials and shapes, fascinated by the geodesic dome and prime numbers. His designs progressively became more refined and, combined with the innovation in LED techniques, Pots discovered the most productive combination. His design for the original Raimond Lights won the Sanoma Woon Award in 2010, for best Woonproduct.
The Raimond II lights reflect this fascination, with their geometric shape and dimensions tending to be prime numbers. Small LED units scattered across the stainless steel frame emit a warm and even ambience in every direction. This warm light is reminiscent of a night sky, bringing the soft glow of starlight into your home.
Moooi suggests that all Raimond II pendants have a companion and therefore should be installed in clusters. Alternatively, install a single pendant above a dining table for intimate lighting that creates a cosy atmosphere. A Raimond II pendant light not only brings light into any interior but also becomes a decorative piece even when not in use.
