Moooi Perch Branch Suspension

The Perch Branch Suspension is a product of some of designer Umut Yamac’s interests: kinetic sculptures, birds, and paper. Inspired by nature, Yamac envisioned a light that would interact with its surroundings as well as be a functional lighting solution. A soft touch or a small breeze sets the birds in motion, gently swinging on the branch. The type of paper used for the bird’s bodies was carefully considered. Yamac experimented with various materials before choosing polypropylene paper for the way it diffuses light. The rest of the birds' details and the branch are made of brass painted aluminium.

The Perch Branch Suspension is a sculptural design that looks as ornamental when switched off as when it’s on. When illuminated, the paper birds diffuse light into a soft glow that complements the delicate aesthetic of the suspension. This ambient lighting is perfect for creating a cosy, welcoming atmosphere in a dining room, lounge area, or bedroom. In commercial spaces, the refined appearance of the Perch Branch suspension adds a touch of luxury to boutiques or contemporary bars.

Included are 6 parts of suspension poles in 3 sizes: 2x10cm, 2x15 cm, 2x50cm (total 1.5m). Additional poles are available on special request. Contact us for more information.
