Moooi Carbon Chair

Designed by Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders, the Carbon chair is a fine example of craftsmanship, where high-tech material meets classic technique. The Moooi chair is made from carbon fibres, which are dipped in epoxy resin. The material is woven, like thread, creating a net-like surface. This unique material has the same strength as steel, but is extremely light to lift and handle.

The durability of the Carbon chair is enhanced by overlapping the fibres at the meeting point of the base and the seat. The interlocking bars at the base of the chair add increased stability. As well as being incredibly durable, the material used for the Carbon Chair is easy to clean and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Collection includes the Carbon Stool, which is available in two seat heights.
