Tom Dixon Melt LED Surface Light

The Tom Dixon Melt Surface Light can be installed on either a wall or ceiling, depending on the space. For this version of the Melt, the familiar spherical form has been compressed while retaining the distinctive shape of the collection. The injection-moulded diffuser changes from a mirrored surface when switched off to a molten glass effect when illuminated.

The Melt Surface Light is also available in an Opal finish with a choice of Silver or Gold wall mount. Unlike the metallic versions, the Opal shade remains opaque when switched off and becomes a soft glowing orb when illuminated, providing a higher light output. The Tom Dixon Melt Collection also includes a smaller surface light, pendants in two sizes, multiple canopy options, floor lamps, table lamps and portable designs.

Tom Dixon introduced the Bronze finish to mark Melt’s tenth anniversary, adding a softer, more muted metallic option to the range. For 2026, the Surface Light is also available in a new Nickel finish, bringing a cooler tone to the collection while retaining the same reflective surface and molten effect when illuminated.
