Tom Dixon Melt LED Pendant Light

The iconic Tom Dixon Melt Pendant has an injection blow-moulded polycarbonate shade. The distinctive optical effect of the gold, copper, smoke, chrome, bronze and nickel finishes is created through a vacuum metallisation process, giving the pendant a mirrored surface when switched off. Once illuminated, the shade transforms, taking on the fluid appearance of molten glass as light moves through the distorted form.

The Nickel finish extends the Melt’s metallic palette with a cooler, softer-toned surface that sits naturally alongside the existing gold, copper, smoke, chrome and bronze options. Tom Dixon also offers the Opal finish for those who prefer a brighter, more diffused expression of the Melt design. Opal is available with either a gold or silver suspension kit and ceiling canopy, with a pearlescent appearance when switched off and an opalescent glow when illuminated.

The Bronze variant was released to celebrate the Melt’s 10th anniversary. When switched off, the shade has a mirror finish. When illuminated, the deep bronze colour takes on a hot-blown glass effect, warping and transforming light from within.

Melt Cluster Pendants are also available, suspended from a multi-canopy to create a striking display of melted orbs. These are a considered way to create a feature piece in larger residential properties or commercial interiors.

The Tom Dixon Melt is supplied with a matching ceiling canopy and suspension kit. The Melt in Copper is supplied with a copper suspension and canopy. The Melt in Smoke, Chrome, Nickel and Opal/Silver is supplied with a chrome suspension and canopy. The Melt in Gold, Opal/Gold and Bronze is supplied with a gold suspension and canopy.
