Founded in 1960 by Dino Gavina, Flos are Italian lighting manufacturers and innovators in lighting design. Connecting with masters of design, discovering new talents, commanding high technical and technological status, and staying tuned into mass culture, means that Flos have remained at the cutting edge. The brand started out as a space for designers and architects seeking to innovate the lighting industry, and now they are renowned for working with some of the biggest icons in lighting design. The designers who have collaborated with Flos include Philippe Starck, Achille Castiglioni and Jasper Morrison.
Flos are the driving force behind a wide range of iconic designs, including the 2097 Chandelier, Arco Floor Lamp and the KTribe Collection, and their work is best described as architectural forms, providing striking and functional illumination. Since its establishment, Flos' pieces have received numerous international awards, and many of these products are now featured in the permanent collections of leading international art and design museums such as the MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and Le Centre Pompidou in Paris.
