The Shiro 17 Alta Lamp was created by Spanish designer Antoni Arola. Meaning ‘white’ in Japanese, Arola designed the Shiro to evoke feelings of calm, purity, and honour. Far from simply being devoid of colour, the white and grey finish was utilised to represent a void brimming with potential, an expression of energy contained. The shade sits on a high frame, raised like a beacon, quietly marking the passage of time.
The refined shade features metal slats arranged in a cubic form. When illuminated, light is filtered through the slats, creating a calming ambience that balances the inhabited outdoor space with the natural world. With an IP rating of 56, the Shio 17 Alta Lamp is suitable for use outdoors. Display on a patio or balcony to add soft illumination and a tranquil atmosphere. The Shito Alta 17 is a fixed installation, free from any cables.
