Santa & Cole Shiro 17 Table Lamp

The Shiro 17 Table Lamp was created by Spanish designer Antoni Arola. Translated as ‘white’ in Japanese, Shiro carries strong significance in Japan’s philosophical tradition, inducing feelings of emptiness, honour, purity, and calm. The white and grey finish was a carefully considered aspect of the Shiro. Far from being devoid of colour, it represents a void brimming with potential.

The Shiro 17 features metal slats that have been arranged in a cubic form. The slatted shade does not enclose light, but filters it through, creating a soft illumination that fills the room with a tranquil atmosphere. With dimmable capabilities, the brightness of the light from the Shiro can be adjusted to suit any mood or environment.
