Spanish designer Antoni Arola created the Shiro Collection for Santa & Cole. Meaning ‘white’ in Japanese, Shiro has deep significance in Japanese philosophical history. Each lamp in the collection features a white and grey finish to evoke feelings of emptiness, purity, and calm. Far from devoid of colour, the Shiro represents a void brimming with potential, a spiritual openness that invites contemplation and discovery.
The Shiro Collection includes a table lamp, an outdoor table lamp available in three sizes, and an outdoor floor lamp. Metal slats arranged in a cubic formation make up the lampshade. When illuminated, light is filtered through the slats, creating a diffused and calming atmosphere. The indoor table lamp can be displayed in any room that requires a tranquil atmosphere, such as a bedroom, living room, or reading nook. Display the Shiro Outdoor lamps individually or together to create a unique installation that will perfectly fit any space. The Shiro 17 Alta is a fixed installation, while the Shiro Outdoor Table Lamps are available with a choice of a plug-in connection or a fixed installation.
