Product Description

Pao Portable Lamp by HAY

The latest addition to the HAY Pao collection, the Pao portable lamp brings all the beauty and simplicity of the other lights on a compact and user-friendly scale. Designed by Naoto Fukasawa, he is known for creating objects that are accessible and uncomplicated. Inspired by the dome shape of the Monogolian Pao tent, the portable light features a shade that conceals the light source for a soft and diffused glow.

The Pao portable light is available in four colours, cool grey, red, cream white or soft black and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use due to its IP44 rating. The lamp comes with a charger cable included and can last up to a minimum of 10 hours when fully charged. A versatile and chic light, the Pao portable can be used in wide variety of settings, whether at home or in a commercial space.

About the designer

Naoto Fukasawa

Naoto Fukasawa is a Japanese designer, born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1956. He studied at Tama Art University in their Product Design department and graduated in 1980. The same year as his graduation, Fukasawa joined Seiko Epson, where he was responsible for advanced development design, and his career began.
