HAY Pao Steel Pendant

The HAY Pao Steel Pendant light was designed by Naoto Fukazawa after a trip to the Mongolian mountains in which he was inspired by the traditional nomadic Pao tents that illuminated at night-time. He based his design off the glowing feeling of comfort and 'home' that the Pao tents emitted. This warmth Fukazawa felt from the Pao tents has been replicated beautifully in the HAY Pao Steel Pendant. This ceiling light features a wide steel shade with a glossy finish which is available in a selection of calming colours. All three sizes are available in Cream white, Cool grey or Soft black and the 230 is also available in a warming red finish.

Naoto Fukazawa has designed this pendant light with a flush acrylic diffuser which not only conceals the light source but also creates a warm, directional light which reflects the warming nature of the Pao tents. This ceiling lamp has a deliberate simplicity that emphasises the clean and simple design, resulting in no visual intrusions.
