HAY Nelson Lantern Bubble Pendant

Created by George Nelson in 1947, the HAY Nelson Lantern Bubble Pendant brings a modernist softness to the classic lantern silhouette. Drawing on the look of traditional Swedish silk-covered lamps, the design replaces heavy materials with a lightweight steel frame and translucent webbed polymer shade, giving the pendant its airy, sculptural form and gentle floating appearance.

Compact yet eye-catching, the Lantern Bubble Pendant measures approximately 28cm in diameter and 26.5cm high, making it ideal for smaller spaces or for displaying in multiples. Its off-white polymer shade diffuses the bulb to produce a warm, ambient glow with reduced glare. Suspended from a white cable, the pendant is well suited to bedside lighting, reading corners, hallways, kitchens, dining areas and commercial interiors where a soft decorative feature is needed.
