Vitra Akari 20N Lamp

The Akari 20N Lamp is a Japanese-inspired and handcrafted lighting solution that immediately adds warmth to any interior. Designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1951, the 20N Lamp boasts a stunning mid-century feel and an unusual silhouette. Able to be used as both a table and floor lamp, the 20N Lamp is a stunning piece that optimises traditional washi paper and a steel base to create a perfect equilibrium between practicality and ambience. The Japanese word "Akari" is translated to "light", a link to the goal of the entire collection, as the whole collection can be characterised by every light's weightless luminosity.

The Vitra Akari 20N Lamp makes a great addition to any living room or bedroom. Each 20N is handcrafted in the Ozeki workshop in Gifu and finished with a sun and moon logo, guaranteeing authenticity to the owner and resembling their Japanese heritage. It can be used independently or alongside other designs in the Akari Light Sculptures Collection.
