Verpan Fun 1DM Pendant

The Verpan Fun 1DM Pendant is part of the iconic Fun Collection, created by Verner Panton in 1964. Panton, known for his innovative and experimental use of textures and materials, introduced mother-of-pearl discs to the Fun range, utilising their natural beauty to create an elegant and sophisticated luminaire. When switched on, the discs conceal the light source for a glare-free glow, while reflecting light to create a shimmering effect. As wind moves through the shade, the pendant creates a soft chiming noise, combining light, movement, and sound.

Each seashell disc is suspended from stainless steel rings which are attached to a four-ring metal frame. The natural shell and reflective metal add to the Fun 1DM Pendant’s ornamental aesthetic, making it a decorative feature even when not in use. Display above a dining table or in a living area to create an inviting and comfortable ambience, or, in larger spaces, install in clusters for a captivating yet refined display.
