The Verpan Fun collection is often regarded as one of Verner Panton's greatest masterpieces. Originally designed in 1964, the collection has since grown to include a multitude of pendants, table lamps, floor lamps and even wall lights. Inspired by one of Panton's trips to Malaysia, and crafted from seashell disks that hang elegantly to conceal the inner light source, the Verpan Fun lights offer generous ambient lighting for a variety of interiors. Panton’s desire for this ceiling light was for it to have 'optimal effect', and this is clear in the lamp's ability to combine light, movement and sound. As air circulates within the space, the seashell discs gently sway as they create a soft chiming sound, which has become iconic within this design.
Fun offers a unique, sophisticated aesthetic, with a textured silhouette. All of the available applications are a beautiful addition to living rooms, bedrooms, entryways and, for the larger suspensions, in stairwells. Similarly, they are sure to make a statement in commercial environments such as restaurants, bars, hotels and galleries.
