Marset Plaff-on! Ceiling / Wall Light
Marset Plaff-on! Ceiling / Wall Light is a glass ceiling and wall light by Joan Gaspar, built around an opal blown glass shade held within a lacquered aluminium ring. The shade appears slightly detached from the surrounding ring, allowing the light to pass through the glass while creating a soft halo around the fitting. It is a simple design, but the floating diffuser gives it a more considered look than a standard flush ceiling light.
The Plaff-on! 33 and Plaff-on! 50 sizes suit larger rooms, wider hallways, bathrooms, utility areas, and low-ceiling spaces where a pendant would sit too low. The opal glass helps soften the light from the lamps inside, while the aluminium ring gives the fitting a neat edge when used on either the ceiling or wall. Black gives the strongest outline, while Rust Brown adds a warmer tone to the fitting.
This version uses replaceable E27 LED lamps, which are excluded, and is dimmable via mains phase dimming when paired with suitable dimmable lamps. The IP54 rating makes it suitable for bathrooms and covered outdoor areas where the correct installation conditions are met. Most suited to bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, utility rooms, entrances, covered outdoor ceilings, patios, hotels, restaurants, and interiors where a simple glass ceiling or wall light is needed.
