Artemide Meteorite Ceiling / Wall Light

Brothers and architects Pio and Tito Toso designed the Meteorite lights, using a new and special technique. They took the traditional blown glass process once step further, with the Venetian 'beaten' glass. The process allows for a raw, unfinished-like texture on the end product. Its name and appearance, as one might guess, come from the glass-like pieces of rock that travel through outer space.

The diffuser on the Meteorite lights, which includes wall, suspension, ceiling and table lights, is double-layered glass. The glass was first blow moulded and then frosted. The designers managed to give the light a spectacular lighting depth . They also won the Red Dot Design Award in 2015 for the Meteorite collection. The Meteorite light emits a soft and diffused light and is available in two sizes.

Please note that the Meteorite 15 is IP44 rated, allowing you to install in bathrooms (zone 1 and 2 only).
