Artemide Meteorite Ceiling / Wall Light

Artemide Meteorite Ceiling / Wall Light brings the Meteorite diffuser into a format that can sit against the architecture more directly. Designed by Pio and Tito Toso, the double-layer artistic glass is handmade using the mould-blowing craft technique followed by grinding, with a finish that recalls the age-old Murano art of battuto glass.

Mounted to the wall or ceiling, the fitting reads a little differently from the table and suspension versions because the textured globe sits closer to the surface behind it. The steel and brass frame keeps the form simple, while the blown frosted glass gives off a soft and diffused light rather than a hard or exposed glare.

Artemide Meteorite Ceiling / Wall Light is available in white, in Meteorite 15, Meteorite 35, and Meteorite 48 sizes. The collection received the Red Dot Design Award in 2015, and this version translates that same handmade finish into a fitting suited to more fixed architectural use. Best suited for hallways, bedrooms, living spaces, and bathrooms where a softer wall or ceiling light is needed.

Please Note: the Meteorite 15 is IP44 rated, making it suitable to install in bathrooms (zone 1 and 2 only). The Meteorite 35 & 48 are IP20.
