Lamparaprima is one of Santa & Cole’s earliest pieces, designed by Pete Sans in 1979. It began with a simple act of making, bending and twisting a clothes hanger into a workable structure, then developing it into a refined table or wall light. A slim metal rod supports a linear LED light source, paired with a rotating visor-like diffuser that helps shape the light and keep the form clean and purposeful.
In its latest edition, Lamparaprima has been re-engineered around a low-voltage system, allowing the structure itself to conduct electricity while keeping the character of the original design. It switches on and off through a simple rotation of the light source, and it remains intentionally compact, a practical choice for focused light at a desk, or as a wall-mounted option beside a bed, in a hallway, or in quieter corners of a project.
