Lamparaprima is an early Santa & Cole design by Pete Sans, originally created in 1979 from a simple act of bending and twisting a clothes hanger into a workable lighting structure. A slim metal rod supports a linear LED light source, paired with a rotating visor-like diffuser that can be oriented to shape the light and reduce glare. Designed to sit on a desk or mount to the wall, it’s a compact piece that feels light in the space while staying properly functional.
The current edition introduces a low-voltage 12V system, allowing the structure to conduct electricity, and switching on and off through a straightforward rotation of the light source. With a warm 2500K colour temperature and an IP20 rating, Lamparaprima suits indoor settings where you want controlled, comfortable light, including worktops, shelves, bedside positions, and quieter circulation areas such as hallways. A 2 metre cable supports flexible placement when used as a table lamp, or for wall mounting where permitted by the installation.
