Artemide Meteorite is built around a double-layer artistic glass diffuser, handmade using the mould-blowing craft technique followed by grinding. Designed by Pio and Tito Toso, the finish recalls the age-old Murano art of battuto glass, giving each fitting its textured, beaten surface and its softened character.
Across the collection, that same glass takes on different roles depending on how it is used. In suspension, it hangs free and becomes more prominent in the room, in wall and ceiling versions it sits closer to the architecture, and in the table formats it becomes either a grounded object or a more upright sculptural presence. The common thread is the same blown frosted glass and the same soft, diffused light.
Artemide Meteorite includes suspension, ceiling and wall, table, and table stem versions, all available in white and recognised with the Red Dot Design Award in 2015. The collection keeps a strong material identity throughout, while each format changes how that identity sits in the space. Best suited for bedrooms, living spaces, dining areas, hallways, and other interiors where a softer diffused light is needed with a more tactile surface.
