&Tradition Numbra LED Suspension Light

The &Tradition Numbra LED Suspension Light is Teruhiro Yanagihara's first design collection for &Tradition, introduced in 2026 and based around the elemental form of a straight line. A long solid oak frame is paired with tumbled aluminium fittings and an integrated light source, giving the pendant a simple linear appearance with a clear contrast between natural wood and metal.

Numbra can be installed horizontally or vertically, making it useful in very different parts of the home. Suspended horizontally, its long proportions work naturally over a dining table or kitchen island. A vertical arrangement gives the design a narrower footprint and suits taller areas such as a stairwell or entrance space. The integrated LED sits behind a sandblasted acrylic diffuser and has a warm 2400K colour temperature.

The oak sections are finished with a clear water-based lacquer, while the aluminium elements are die-cast, tumbled, and lacquered. Numbra is also designed for disassembly, and its LED unit can be replaced through &Tradition rather than requiring the complete fitting to be replaced. Most suited to dining areas, kitchen islands, entrance halls, stairwells, and interior spaces where a long, linear pendant works well.
