&Tradition Gio LN28 Floor Lamp

The &Tradition Gio LN28 Floor Lamp, designed by Luca Nichetto, brings the layered form of the Gio collection into a freestanding light. Spun metal shades sit above a dark chrome stem and Emperador marble base, with the weight and natural pattern of the stone giving the tall design a substantial footing. Ecru White and Dark Chrome are used across the shade, continuing Gio's interest in combining contrasting finishes within a single form.

The shades direct light upwards, making the LN28 useful where a softer, indirect source of illumination is wanted rather than a focused reading or task light. It can sit beside a sofa, against a wall, or in the corner of a living room, where the upward light can contribute to the general lighting of the space. The Emperador marble also gives the floor lamp a different character to the more colourful suspended Gio models.

A dimmer on the cable allows the output to be adjusted smoothly from full brightness down to 10%, giving more control over the light through the evening. The shade is spun into shape before being finished, while the marble base is cut and polished. Most suited to living rooms, lounges, bedrooms, and hospitality interiors where an upward floor light and a strong mix of metal and natural stone work well.
