Tom Raffield Flush Ceiling Light

The Verso Flush Ceiling Light is a compact and ornate light created by Tom Raffield. Each shade is expertly handcrafted from his Cornish-based studio using sustainably sourced ash, oak, or walnut. To achieve the continuous, looping frame, petals of wood are steam-bent and held into place on a birch-ply hanging disk. It is from this swooping motion that the Verso gets its name. Meaning ‘spin’ in Latin, the gravity-defying form of the Verso is reminiscent of falling leaves in the wind.

The Verso Flush Ceiling Light creates a warm ambience when illuminated. The wooden petals partially encase a light source within, creating a captivating play of light and shadows. The shade is created with compact spaces in mind. Sitting flush to the ceiling, the Verso Ceiling Light is a sculptural yet functional lighting solution that is perfect for illuminating smaller spaces or rooms with a lower ceiling. The asymmetrical shade is designed to draw the eye, appearing different depending on the angle it’s viewed.
