FAD Floor Lamp by Santa & Cole
A lamp with a permanent elegance, the FAD floor lamp was designed by Miguel Mila, and is a fine example of true craftmanship. The lamp was originally designed for and name after, the Fostering Arts and Design (FAD) Association in Barcelona. A group of architects and artisans founded the Association in 1903, as they were concerned about the effects of industrialisation. Since then, FAD has been an advocate for projective arts and for Spanish architecture. Thus, Miguel Mila's design of the lamp fully embodies the expression of industrial craftmanship.
FAD floor lamp has a cylindrical structure made of oak, hollow on the inside, that perfectly balances the white linen shade at the top. Its base has two cross-pieces of oak to close off the hollow section. The floor lamp has an adjustable height, between 120 and up to 150 cm. The light can be dimmed, giving you full control of the light intensity, tailoring the brightness to your liking. The lamp will work anywhere, in both residential and commercial interior settings.
The FAD collection also includes two
table lamps, the FAD and the smaller FAD Menor.
