Martinelli Luce Pipistrello Table Lamp

Martinelli Luce Pipistrello Table Lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti. The original Pipistrello was designed in 1965 and was not designed according to the fashions of the moment but was designed for the Olivetti showroom in Paris. The combination of the innovative material, methacrylate, with the familiar and secure shape of a lampshade, required the essential elegance of Italian design. This was a pivotal moment when Italian design was beginning to make its mark on the world of furnishings.

Pipistrello Table Lamp features a diffused opaline white shade with a selection of colours for the body, which together create a palm tree silhouette. The striking colour options include black, white, agave green, matt red and satin brass. With a telescopic movement, the body can expand in height from 70cm to 86cm. Designed to add a touch of sophistication and luxury to any space, the Pipistrello Table Lamp can be positioned in both a home and a commercial establishment.
