28t Table and Wall Light by Bocci

Bocci 28t table lamp is a beautifully crafted sphere of glass which sits upon a brushed brass base. The light is operated by a circular brass dial situated on the lamp’s semi-rigid cable. The brass dial is slid open and closed to function as an on/off and dimmer switch.

The Bocci 28t doubles up as both a table light and wall light. A small notch in the back of the brass base allows for this table light to be wall mounted. The brass circular dial switch can also be wall mounted. The semi-rigid cable then becomes a feature as you can sculpt it into your desired shape against the wall. Please note, the lamp is not designed to be hard-wired when wall mounted as the cable and switch are designed to be visible. Therefore, the light needs to be wall mounted within reach of a plug point.

The glass in the Bocci 28 range is produced using a complex glass blowing technique whereby air pressure is intermittently introduced into and then removed from a glass matrix which is intermittently heated and then rapidly cooled. The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of imploded inner shapes, one of which acts as a shade for the light source.
