Castore 35 Floor Lamp by Artemide

Castore was designed by Michelle de Lucchi and Huub Ubbens for Artemide Lighting. The lights met great success, with a discrete and minimal design yet they offer so much option. The lights won the Red Dot Design Awards (2004), the Compasso d'Oro/A.D.I. Segnalazione (2004) and the Design Plus, light + building (2004). Castore lights offer a plethora of possibilities, creating a feeling of tranquillity in any environment.

With a soft and cosy ambience, the lights have a white, blown glass diffuser which tapers into a metal stem. The diffuser merges into the stem via a white translucent polycarbonate 'sleeve', through which light escapes and is diffused down the stem. The Castore 35 Floor is the only Castore light available in one size, with a large globe diffuser of 35 cm diameter. The light looks mesmerising as a standalone, but you always compliment any interior with other Castore lights.
