Artemide Callimaco LED Floor Lamp

Ettore Sottsass designed Callimaco in the early 80s for Artemide and has since then been retouched to include integrated LED. Among the most iconic designs of Artemide, the lamp takes its name from Callimaco (or Callimachus; Greek: Καλλίμαχος), who was a poet, scholar and critic at the Library in Alexandria during the 4th century BC. Ettore was a royalty in Italian design of the 20th century and the founder of the Memphis collection.

The Artemide Callimaco Floor Lamp is a fusion of contrast lighting and industrial design, composed of various shapes and colours. The lamp lacks all unnecessary parts and strips down to pure functionality. Callimaco comes with an integrated touch dimmer on the stem, allowing you to easily dim the illumination and create an ambience that is right for you and your space. A small polished chrome handle, at the middle of the lamp, is the finishing touch to the simplicity of the design and adds a unique feature.
