Artemide Boalum Lamp

The Artemide Boalum Lamp was designed in 1970 by Gianfranco Frattini and Livio Castiglioni and was quickly nicknamed the 'snake of infinite light'. It has made history in the design world and has become an icon of Italian designer lighting. It can be seen in various collections in design museums across the globe. The Boalum met great success and has been continuously produced ever since, with only slight alterations (like the replacement of classic bulbs with high-efficiency LEDs). The Boalum lamp emits a diffused light through a translucent and flexible structure made of PVC. It is practically indestructible.

The flexibility of this lighting solution allows you to place the Boalum on the floor or the table, or hang it on the wall. You can twist it and bend the silhouette, or just about create any new game of light every day. Each element of the Artemide Boalum can be connected to up to four at a time, creating an 8m long luminaire, and rolled up to form various shapes.
