Product Description
Boalum by Artemide
Boalum was designed in 1970 by Gianfranco Frattini and Livio Castiglioni and was quickly nick-named as the 'snake of infinite light'. It has made history in the Italian and world design and can be seen in various collections in design museums. The Boalum met great success and has been continuously produced ever since, with only slightly alterations (like the replacement of classic bulbs to high efficiancy LED). Boalum lamp emits a diffused light, through a translucent and flexible structure made of PVC. It is practically indestructible.
The flexibility allows you to place the Boalum on the floor, the table or hang it on the wall. You can twist it or just about create any new game of light every day. Each Boalum element can be connected at up to four at a time, creating an 8m long Boalum, and roll them up to form various shapes.
