Bertjan Pot & Marcel Wanders

Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders are a design duo who collaborated to create the Carbon Collection for Moooi. Bertjan Pot studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. After graduating in 1998, he opened his studio in Rotterdam, where he creates most of his projects. He has an experimental design philosophy, which is reflected in the unique colours, patterns, and materials used in his designs. His work has been displayed worldwide, including at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, and MoMA in New York.

Marcel Wanders is a Dutch designer and art director who graduated from the Institute of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. He opened the Marcel Wanders studio in Amsterdam in 2000, where he designs architectural, interior, and industrial projects. In 2001, Wanders co-founded lighting design company Moooi, where he is the owner and creative director. Throughout his career, Marcel Wanders has been awarded many notable accolades, including International Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration, as well as being inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame by US magazine Interior Design.
