Northern Dahl

The Dahl Collection was originally created in 1956 by Scandinavian designer Birger Dahl. Dahl was commissioned to design a lighting scheme for Norway’s Parliament building ahead of its renovation. The collection, including a pendant, chandelier, and wall lamp, illuminated the building when it reopened in 1958, carrying Dahl’s distinctive modernist style. In 2016, lighting brand Northern reintroduced the Dahl Pendant, before completing the series with the chandelier and wall lamp.

The Dahl Collection is characterised by its soft lines, brass detailing, and refined minimalism. An opal white, glass-blown shade diffuses light into a gentle, even glow that complements the elegance of the brass detailing.
