Inspired by the flow of light and form, the New Works Kantarell collection explores how sculptural design can also serve purposeful illumination. Conceived by Norwegian designer Falke Svatun, the series takes its name and silhouette from the trumpet-like shape of the chanterelle mushroom, guiding light through an elegantly flared form. Each pendant features two concentric shapes, a shade and a reflector, that together create a soft, graphic impression and a calming sense of spatial definition.
The Kantarell lights are available in two versions: one with a curved edge that channels light downward, ideal for dining and focused task settings, and another offering a more expansive spread of light suited to general ambience. Both versions are crafted from spun metal with finishes in either black or nickel-plated aluminium. The LED module is discreetly housed in the centre and delivers a 2700K warm white light that is dimmable via phase dimming, offering flexibility for a range of residential and commercial applications.
This sculptural pendant is more than a light source, serving as a visual anchor in any interior. Designed to be viewed from all angles, Kantarell offers a poetic interplay of material, proportion and utility. Whether suspended low over a table or mounted high for broader diffusion, it adds character and intimacy to contemporary spaces while honouring the timeless sensibilities of Nordic design.
