Marset Djembe

Marset Djembe Collection is a range of ceiling and pendant lights by Joan Gaspar, inspired by the shape of a traditional African drum. The rounded shades are made from bi-injected rotary moulded polyethylene, using a process that creates two very different surfaces. The exterior has a rough, stone-like texture that gives the impression of a much heavier material, while the inside is smooth and satin white. This contrast is central to the design, with the white interior reflecting the light downwards into the room.

The collection includes ceiling lights and suspended pendants, both available in different sizes and shade depths. The shallower versions sit closer to the ceiling or have a broader, flatter appearance, while the deeper shades have a more pronounced bell shape. Djembé was developed with repeated installations in mind, so several lights can be arranged together using different proportions and colours. A single fitting works well over a dining table or kitchen island, while larger groups can be used in open-plan living spaces, reception areas, restaurants, and hotels.

Djembé is available in White, Grey, Red, and Sky Blue, with the textured exterior giving each colour a slightly different character. Both the ceiling and pendant versions include integrated LED lighting, with Triac and DALI-2 dimming options. Additional sizes, 3000K, Casambi, and Tunable White versions are also available on request. Most suited to dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms, reception areas, offices, restaurants, hotels, and commercial interiors where large ceiling and pendant lights can be used individually or arranged in groups.
