Marset Djembe

The Marset Djembe Collection was created by Spanish designer Joan Gasper. Gasper finds value in simplicity, believing that being simple does not mean the process of getting there is simple. This philosophy is reflected in the Djembe Collection. The design of the bell-shaped shade may appear simplistic, but careful consideration and expertise went into creating a shade that is as functional as it is captivating.

The distinctive shade creates an interplay between textures. Use of a rotomolding technique has allowed the fixture to feature a vastly different exterior from the interior. The texture of the outside is reminiscent of that of a stone, while the inside is completely smooth. The perception of a weight created by the exterior against a seemingly delicate and soft interior forms a fascinating contrast.

The Djembe Collection is available as a pendant or ceiling light. Available in a range of sizes and finishes, the collection is designed to be used individually or as multiples. In large spaces, brilliant statement pieces can be created by installing rows or clusters of pendants at varying heights to form a dynamic and unique composition.
