Marset Copernica

Marset Copernica Collection is a range of adjustable table and floor lamps by Ramírez i Carrillo, designed in 2017. The collection uses a system of counterweights to balance long metal arms, allowing the lamps to move with very little effort. Circles, semicircles, and slender bars make up the structure, with steel and aluminium used throughout. The exposed counterweights are central to both the appearance and function of Copernica, giving the lamps their distinctive geometric form while allowing them to be adjusted with a light touch.

The collection includes two models, the Copernica M table lamp and the Copernica P floor lamp. The M can be positioned over a desk for reading or working, then moved aside when the space is needed for something else. The P uses the same mechanism in a taller design, allowing the light to be brought towards a sofa or armchair without moving the base. Both lamps have adjustable arms and tiltable diffusers, so the direction and position of the light can be changed throughout the day.

Copernica is available in Graphite-Red-Black and Graphite-Satin Nickel-Black finishes, with the contrasting colours bringing attention to the different parts of the structure. Both versions are plug-in and include integrated LED lighting, with a three-position dimmer built into the diffuser. Most suited to living rooms, home offices, studies, reading corners, bedrooms, studios, and commercial interiors where an adjustable lamp can provide directed light for reading, working, or relaxing.
