Louis Poulsen Centenary Edition

The PH Centenary Collection is a celebration of 100 years of Poul Henningsen’s iconic System PH. In 1926, Henningsen invented the three-shade system, shaped according to a natural logarithmic curve. Each layer contributes towards the distribution of gentle, glare-free lighting. The top shade diffuses the brightest light, the middle shade redirects and softens it, while the bottom shade shields the eyes from glare.

The PH Centenary Collection includes a Chandelier, Table Lamp, and Floor Lamp, each crafted from aged brass. A dark brown textile cord emphasises the collection’s vintage look and feel. Each piece in the series provides an elegant, sculptural presence to any environment, even when not in use. When illuminated, the mouth-blown glass shade system provides both a soft, ambient glow and a bright, downward-directed light, perfect for bedrooms and living spaces. The PH Centenary Collection combines both classic and archival PH designs to honour the principles of the System PH, which are still as relevant today as they were 100 years ago.
