Le Klint Lamella

The Lamella Collection is inspired by the delicate gills found on the underside of a mushroom, the lamellae. Jonah Takagi & Hallgeir Homstvedt looked through Le Klint’s archives and decided to reinstate the traditional pleating method called PLICA to create the organic-looking structure of the collection. Each shade is hand-pleated by expert craftspeople from Le Klint’s pleating studio in Odense, Denmark. A metal element, available in aluminium or brushed gold aluminium, adds to the ornamental feel of the collection and adds a touch of luxury.

The Lamella’s pleated shade is made from Le Klint’s standard plastic foil. This material is durable, fire-retardant, and UV-resistant, and is a popular choice of material for a Le Klint light. The shade offers a diffused, glare-free glow that creates a warm atmosphere – perfect for shared spaces such as dining rooms or a lounge area. Each piece in the collection, which includes four pendants and a ceiling/ wall light, can be hung individually or as part of a grand display when installed together in a cluster. Hanging the pendants of varying sizes at altering heights allows you to create an eye-catching display that is perfectly fitted to your space.
