Flos In Vitro

An outdoor lighting collection, designed by Philippe Starck, the Flos In Vitro luminaires embody glowing lanterns. Starck, commenting on the In Vitro lights, said they represent both dematerialised architectural lighting as well as the memory of the space that the light used to take up. In Vitro is crafted from die-cast extruded aluminium, with a powder-coated finish that offers seven colour options. This metal silhouette houses a glass shade, resembling a test tube and protecting the integrated LED light source. In Vitro is Latin for 'In Glass', which perfectly encapsulates the design of these durable lighting solutions.

Each luminaire in the Flos In Vitro range harnesses an IP65 rating, making it suitable for almost any exterior setting. These soft, diffused lights are a beautiful addition to gardens, patios, decking areas and driveways. Similarly, they add an elegant touch to commercial spaces such as alfresco areas in restaurants, bars and hotels. Available as a pendant, ceiling light, wall light or portable lamp, In Vitro can be used individually or alongside the other modern lights in the range.
