Artemide Cetra is a suspension light designed by Vico Magistretti in 1969, based on two opposing sections of a sphere. Its geometric structure combines white lacquered metal with an opaline glass globe, using the relationship between the two materials to diffuse, shield, and reflect light.
Three bulbs are concealed within the upper section, directing light towards the ceiling. Below, an opaline glass globe provides a softer, diffused light.
Reintroduced as part of Artemide's heritage collection, Cetra retains the original design's simple geometry and considered use of materials. The pendant is suited to dining rooms, living rooms, and other interiors where a central light provides both direct and indirect illumination.
