Artemide Calipso

The Artemide Calipso collection is a unique series of lighting solutions designed by Neil Poulton and was generated by feeding a photo of the moon into an image-based algorithm found on a seemingly extinct computer. The resulting fractal shape, an impure geometry that displays the irregular beauty of nature, is built from an organic honeycomb of different-diameter tubes, seemingly arranged in a random geometry. The result is various eye-catching luminaires that can be used in both residential and commercial settings, featuring circular and linear suspensions and a ceiling light.

Not only is the Artemide Calipso visually pleasing, but it also provides an even and comfortable light emission. To further enhance the visual experience, each application can also be easily dimmed. The LED Ceiling Light and LED Suspension are also available with Artemide App dimming, meaning you can easily personalise the illumination to suit your needs.
