Patera Pendant Light by Louis Poulsen

With its calming aura of soft, glare free light, the Patera pendant is both decorative and functional in its appearance. It elegantly combines atmospheric diffused light and downward directed light. This is achieved through Patera’s cleverly designed structure made up of small diamond shaped cells, each designed to capture light and shield the light source from viewing angles above 45 degrees. Below 45 degrees the light is directed downward and a small amount of light is also directed upwards, illuminating the ceiling.

Inspired by the Fibonacci curve, the Patera pendant light is beautiful from all angles, making it suitable for a variety of situations: hallways, staircases, above dining areas, from low or high ceilings. The designer reinterprets the chandelier with this pendant, producing a modern take that dazzles with its intricate pattern. The pendant light is available in three sizes the smaller Ø300, Ø450 and the larger Ø600 to suit any need.
