Louis Poulsen Patera

The Patera Collection was created by Danish designer Øivind Slaatto. The collection, which includes a spherical pendant and an oval pendant, features a shade based on the Fibonacci sequence, which Slaatto admits was an extremely mathematical assignment. Each pendant, which is expertly hand-crafted by local artisans in Vejen, Denmark, is made up of small diamond-shaped cells. This ensures that each pendant will provide a different impression from every vantage point.

When lit, each diamond-shaped cell glows, bringing a sense of life to the pendant. Each cell is carefully designed to capture light while blocking the light source from view, creating a soft and glare-free illumination. This creates an interplay of light and shadow while filling the room with an inviting ambiance.

Both pendants in the Patera Collection are offered in white, with the sphere available in three sizes: 300mm, 450mm, and 600mm. The oval measures 500mm x 291mm. The selection of sizes makes the Patera Collection perfect for various spaces, whether installed individually or as multiples in a creative arrangement.
