Catellani & Smith Jackie O LED Single Suspension

The Jackie O suspension light was designed by Enzo Catellani as an experiment to create a light that is 'absolute zero'. In Catellani's terms, 'absolute zero' is the idea that you take an idea or a design and reduce it down to the bare minimum to showcase the beauty of simplicity. He even hoped to eliminate the cable but instead made it into a stunning feature that is ultra-thin and coated in Catellani & Smith's iconic blue coloured fabric. This style of cable has then been used again and again in multiple Catellani & Smith designs as it appears delicate and simplistic and draws attention to the lighting fixture itself.

This 'absolute zero' design features many delicate and intricate details that bring a glistening touch to any space. The nickel-plated copper curl is hand curled to create this iconic design and perfectly holds the glass lens that comes to life when illuminated. This altogether intricate design provides a stunning bright light that when clustered with other Jackie O suspensions creates a twinkling starry night sky effect.
